Our Story

The Kyah Wiget Education Society was formed in (?) as an independent body responsible for all educational matters in Moricetown, while accountable to the people of the community. We meet the BC Core Curriculum standards while also providing our students with language and cultural studies from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The Society promotes respect for oneself and others, as well as property and all forms of life. The encouragement of  Wet'suwet'en Culture is highly important to our students education. We also welcome the community to express their ideas and concerns about Wet'suwet'en education.

The Kyah Wiget Education Society is represented at the Moricetown Band Council, working cooperatively with other educational institutions, First Nations and all levels of Government.
